Click thumbnail to enlarge The Biblical Zoo of Jerusalem, also known as The Tisch Family Zoological Gardens, is an attraction worthy of the highest international accreditation.  The Zoo is a wonderful example of integration between flora, fauna and human beings.  Its philosophy of design and operation is based on the Biblical prinicple that all forms of life were intended by the Creator to live a harmonious existence and that we are interdependent of one another.  And so, one is invited to come face to face with Giraffes at treetop walks, to pop up one’s head in a glass bubble among Meercats, eyeball an enormous Bengal Tiger through a glass window or admire the Penguins.  All these are among an array of Biblical animals found nowhere else on the planet! All enclosures are designed with the maximum focus on the needs of their respective occupants.  At the same time the Zoo also serves as neutral zone for Jews and Arabs to be able to admire the wonderful creatures given as companions to all of us by a loving Creator. The Biblical Zoo in Jerusalem is truly a remarkable place where the meaning of the Hebrew word Shalom fully comes into the true meaning of the word - Harmony in all of Creation.
