The Branch... hat we consider to be a most vital part of restoring Biblical truth is the restoration of the Word of God: The Bible.  Presently the Bible consists of two parts, the -so called - Old Testament and the Christian portion known as the New Testament. Due to faulty teaching, many Christians - if not most - consider the New Testament to be the most important portion of the Bible.  In fact, in many quarters, the prevailing view is that most of the Old Testament, especially the portion known as Torah, or the five books of Moses, are no longer relevant to the followers of Yeshua (Jesus). We contend, however, that the Biblical texts faithfully teach the opposite, that those men who handed down the Greek and Hebrew portions of the Bible have been faithful to the written word.  The problem began to arise with those who insisted in promoting the distorted view that the Elohim of Abraham, Isaac and Yaacov has finished with his ancient people, the Hebrews, and replaced them with the Gentile Church. What we have today, in the vernacular forms of the Bible text, are essentially theological texts which uphold a particular Christian perspective concerning the Scriptures and salvation.  Both factors impinge heavily on the relationship that exists between Jewish people and Christians, and how Christians view their walk with God. In order to bring greater clarity to the Biblical text, as well as establish irrefutable proof of the correctness and reliability of the available Hebrew and Greek texts, we intend to produce a translation from those texts; i.e. the Biblia Hebraica Stuttgartensia, the Septuagint (LXX) and the Greek New Testament, 4th Edition, published by the Deutsche Bibel Gesellschaft, Stuttgart, Germany. Our intention is to show, by employing a thorough consistency of translation practice applied to all ancient texts, that there is an amazing continuity of thought and teaching from Genesis to revelation; that apparent inconsistencies fall away when texts are read with a Hebrew/Semitic mindset, rather than a Gentile/Greek one. Having said that, it is worthy to note, that some translations made attempts at a greater truthfulness in transmitting what the ancient texts are saying, but overall it is clear that ALL translations followed a given theological perspective, rather than present what the texts are actually saying.
