It began with a group of like-minded people in 2001 in order to pray for Israel on a regular basis and as a place of learning about Israel. One of the prime endeavours of The Olivetree Connection has been and still is to combat anti-semitism among Christians through education. It has been a long-term vision of Frank and Karen’s to establish a thoroughly Biblical Education Centre to enable Christians to begin a journey of discovery to our distant origin.Although in theory, according to the New Testament, followers of Yeshua (Jesus) are said to be grafted into the ancient Olivetree (Romans 11:19-24) representative of the Faith of Abraham, the ‘net’ outworking is vastly different. Despite the fact that the New Testament tells the world that Yeshua broke down the barrier between Jews and Gentiles (Ephesians 2:14), they are as strong - if not stronger - as ever.We believe that one of the highest calling, for sincere and committed Christians, is to become fully acquainted with the Hebraic Source of our faith. Second to this is the need for Christians to leave no stone unturned to bring about a true reconciliation between the Olivetree and the grafted branches. In our view, a genuine reconciliation between the two parties should also produce a deep caring for national Israel. Our desire is to promote goodwill beween Christians and Jewish people through Biblical education and sound information.Frank and Karen came to trust the One True God of Israel, through the Testimony of Yeshua, for their redemption over thirty years ago and since then discovered from the Scriptures the unique place of Israel in the purposes of God.Both have studied at various Bible Colleges in Sydney and Brisbane and Frank obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Theology from the Australian College of Theology, which included extensive studies in NT Greek - in addition to a diploma in Creative Ministries from Wesley College in SydneyFrank continues to be engaged in an ongoing study of Biblical and modern Hebrew, initially with the Zionist Council of NSW for three years, which gained him valuable insights into Jewish thought and life. Both Karen and Frank have spent considerable time in Israel with extensive involvement with the Jewish community on a practical level where they experienced a strong sense of ‘grafting’.
